Our Serenity

No house for Ben and I, for now.  Instead we’ve obtained this beautiful creature, thanks to a Craigslist ad heads up from a friend and a wonderful, similarly heighted couple from Wisconsin.

Love can certainly come in bicycle form.  Adventures to the Garlic Festival, a music festival, and possibly along the Mississippi River Trail lie ahead to be sure.

What joyously spontaneous decision have you made as of late?

  1. I’ve been thinking about bicycling the Mississippi River Trail also! From my house near the Mississippi all the way to the headwaters! I’ve done some planning, it would take about 7 days to get up there and a few days less coming home if you went the fastest route (i.e. not along the Mississippi again). Eric

    1. We were thinking about starting up at the headwaters in Itasca and riding all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana, which would be more like a two month trip. But riding up to Itasca would be fun too!

      1. That’s a good trip too! Except I would do it backwards, start at the Gulf in May and end up in MN in July. MN in July is much nicer than Louisiana in July! There is a book on the whole route, “Bicycling Guide to the Mississippi River Trail” by Bob Robinson, if you haven’t seen it already. I have a copy and its very useful!
